About
The Affordable Housing Trust for Columbus and Franklin County (AHT), established in 2001, is an independent, nonprofit lender that works with the private, nonprofit and public sectors to develop affordable housing opportunities within the City of Columbus and surrounding counties. In February 2016, AHT became a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).
Our mission is to facilitate and invest in developments designed to create and preserve affordable homeownership and rental housing, strengthen and stabilize neighborhoods, and support working households, seniors and special needs populations. We recognize the need to dismantle discrimination and promote justice in housing, committing to diversity, equity, and inclusion in our practices and operations.
Services
Affordable Housing Financing
Provides loans to developers for affordable rental, supportive, and homeownership projects.
Regional Impact Fund (RIF)
Expands AHT's capacity to finance affordable housing projects across an eight-county region.
Emerging Developers Accelerator Program (EDAP)
Accelerates the development pipeline by supporting emerging developers, especially women and people of color.
